Hi There!

Thank YOU so much for being here to check out Mind your Canine! My name is Hannah, and my mission here is provide you and your pup with the tools to live up to your fullest potential. After 7 years training dogs under a big-name company, I knew I was ready to step away and provide so much more to families in need. Here’s the thing— when you picture your dog as the best version of themselves… you should be picturing the best version of yourself right alongside them! I’m here to show you that although dog training may seem like an intimidating feat, you CAN accomplish it! Here at Mind your Canine, I don’t do a “quick- fix”, I provide a lifestyle upgrade— this a beautiful journey.

Meet the MYC Family

  • Bean

Bean came into the board and train program so his family could work on his over- arousal and finding peace and calm in the household. Through leadership and boundaries, Bean conquered heel, settling around people, building confidence, holding “place” during mealtimes and with guests, and learning to ignore dogs more often while out for a walk.

  • Stubs

Stubs is full of SPUNK and his hype for everything in the world was leading to some overarousal problems like chasing stray cats, barking at everything and anything, and never sitting still. We found peace and calmness trough settle work, place, and heel. giving him a job was a great way to help mom navigate his special personality.

  • Mooch

Mooch is big dude who came into the board and train with little confidence. We worked toward tacking tough situations like public manners, pushing his “I can do it” attitude, and guiding him through heel, “place”, and crate manners.

  • Stevie

Stevie was the dog of honor at her pawrent’s wedding reception! The month beforehand, we worked privately to build her social skills, impulse control, “stay” in a busier setting, and everything wedding- prep! The big day went great and Stevie was a beautiful addition to the celebration!

  • Fizzgig

Fizzgig started with us in a series of private lessons so their family could work towards co-existence and feeling more under control with unwanted behaviors. We tacked door- dashing, separation skills, nuisance barking, loose leash walking, recall, and how to respect people’s space

  • Etta

Etta is a familiar face from my PetSmart days— she took every class we offered and wanted to continued her therapy dog skills. Over the course of her board and train, we worked on extensive social obedience and calmer mindset around new people and places. Her mom worked vey hard to continue her skills and she is now a certified therapy pupper at their local hospital.

  • Bruno

After a bite accident that left Bruno on an aggressive dog list in his county, Brno’s family started training to learn responsible ownership skills and more peaceful walking. Navigating distractions like birds, dogs, and any open body of water was something that would make him lose control beforehand— all came down to giving him trustful and meaningful leadership in and around the home.

  • Bruce

Bruce is a bonafied mama’s boy and started private lessons to work on navigating resource guarding and healthier habits around the home. We introduced better leadership skills through place, loose leash walking, and setting boundaries.

  • Grandma

(Yes that is her real name, and we love her for it) Grandma is a spunky loving girl that came to MYC for a board & train to work on living peacefully with a cat, remaining chill when there’s people around, walking nicely on a leash through heel, and recall for their big backyard at home!

  • Sandy

Sandy’s got BIG energy in a small package. Her pawrents took private lesson and a board & train to work on her bad habits of ignoring her name, finally getting potty training down, calming down nuisance barking, no longer going crazy over guests, and living peacefully with her brother.

  • Dr. Teetz

This big man surely got his doctorate’s in stubborn university before a visit from Hannah. Through private lessons, we worked on walking nicely on a leash, holding “place” on his bed when people come over, and working preventing and redirecting some problematic humping & jumping

  • Tallulah

To describe Tallulah is to describe fireworks on fourth of July! This energetic girl came into our Board & Train program to work on finding her focus while out on waks ith mom, and building some team confidence so we can tackle reactivity and practice mindful living.

  • Boots

He’s got little white boots on and came to us for our first ever Board and Train to address reactivity, crate training, and creating calmness in social settings!

  • Mia

Walk & train girly— Goals we met were introducing E collar communication, building confidence through the walk, and cleaning up her heel!

  • Daisy

Walk & Train downtown doggo— worked on moving past people and dogs without stopping & freezing for attention.

  • Gemma

OG content assistant & dog of honor at her pawrent’s wedding!

About balanced training..

Here at Mind your Canine, we know training isn’t “one size fits all”, so we know each dog will have their own unique set of needs when it comes to routine, learning style, tools, and more.

With a balanced training approach, this means we invite the opportunity for using methods of both reward and punishment— because we are allowed to agree and disagree with what our dogs do.

Feel free to explore the instagram page or watch our TikToks to see more on what implementing a balanced training lifestyle is all about.
